This fact sheet is an overview of the U.S. government’s implementation of the February 4, 2021, Presidential Memorandum on Advancing the Human Rights of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, and Intersex (LGBTQI+) Persons Around the World.  It summarizes the progress of 15 federal agencies to advance the human rights of LGBTQI+ persons abroad. The fact sheet highlights critical programs and achievements, documenting how the needs and rights of LGBTQI+ persons are centered in foreign policy and assistance programs.
