Jack Markell, a former Governor and State Treasurer of Delaware, is the President of Jack Markell Consulting, LLC. As Governor, Markell prioritized innovative measures to ensure Delaware’s future success in a competitive global economy. He introduced education reforms including multilingual immersion education, college access for low income students and the creation of compelling career pathways for high school students, energy policies that encouraged energy efficient buildings and fewer greenhouse gas emissions, health measures to support people with disabilities and battle substance abuse disorders, and similar initiatives in trade and family policy. He regularly engaged with U.S. and foreign counterparts, sharing research and best practices to address common challenges and improve the quality of their citizens’ lives.
