U.S. Actions Targeting Transnational Criminals for Illicit Fentanyl Activity – United States Department of State

Martin Garcia Corrales is the brother of Leobardo Garcia Corrales and supervises many aspects of trafficking fentanyl for the organization, including security, and is a close associate of Ismael Zambada Garcia and Joaquín Archivaldo Guzmán Loera.

Approximately November 14, 2022, Martin Garcia Corrales and a co-conspirator met at a restaurant in Mazatlán, where Martin Garcia Corrales agreed to purchase hundreds of automatic rifles and other weapons, including grenades, with payment for the weapons in the form of fentanyl to be imported and delivered in the U.S.. Prior to that meeting, Approximately September 2022, Martin Garcia Corrales facilitated the delivery of approximately one kilogram of fentanyl at an address in California.

On April 4, 2023, a federal grand jury sitting in the Southern District of New York returned an indictment against Martin Garcia Corrales and others charging them with Fentanyl Importation Conspiracy, Possession of Machineguns & Destructive Devices, and Conspiracy to Possess Machineguns & Destructive Devices.

The U.S. Department of State is offering a REWARD OF UP TO $4 MILLION for information leading to the arrest and/or conviction of Martin Garcia Corrales.
