Mobile Security Deployment (MSD) teams are the U.S. Department of State’s 24- hour, on-call, tactical response elements. They support the department’s critical needs both domestically and abroad, supporting major investigations and special events, and augment the U.S. Secretary of State’s protective detail for trips that require specialized skills and capabilities.
