VICTOR EMILIO CAZARES-GASTELLUM, also known as “The Gatekeeper” and “El Licenciado”, is a member of the Sinaloa Cartel. The Sinaloa Cartel is one of the most notorious and violent drug trafficking organizations operating in Mexico. The Sinaloa Cartel imports and distributes hundreds of tons of cocaine, methamphetamine, and marijuana into the United States each year. Cazares-Gastellum operates in Sinaloa Mexicali, and Guadalajara, Mexico. Cazares-Gastellum coordinates the movement of multi-ton quantities of cocaine from Mexico into distribution hubs located in southern California; from there the drug trafficking organization distributes cocaine throughout the United States. The organization is also responsible for transporting millions of US dollars of drug proceeds in bulk currency from the United States into Mexico.

CAZARES-GASTELLUM was indicted out of the Southern District of California in 2007. A provisional warrant has been issued for his arrest.

The U.S. Department of State is currently offering a REWARD OF UP TO $5 MILLION for information leading to the arrest and/or conviction of VICTOR EMILIO CAZARES-GASTELLUM.
