Juan Carlos MESA-Vallejo, alias “Tom”, is the currently in charge of the largest faction of the La Oficina de Envigado a major drug trafficking and money laundering DTO based in Medellin, Colombia. In 2012, MESA-Vallejo was selected by members of the Oficina de Envigado as their leader to replace Ericson VARGAS-Cardona, alias “Sebastian”, who had recently been captured. In September 2014, the United States Department of Treasury Office of Foreign Asset Control added MESA-Vallejo to its list of Specially Designated Narcotic Traffickers pursuant to the Narcotics Kingpin Act.

Under MESA-Vallejo’s, Oficina de Envigado has become more centralized, establishing strong alliances with former rivals and significant transnational drug traffickers. Oficina de Envigado remains unchallenged with regard to international money laundering for drug traffickers.

MESA-Vallejo is wanted by Colombian authorities for Conspiracy to commit aggravated murder while attempting to gain control of the Medellin drug/criminal underworld. The U.S. Department of State is offering a REWARD OF UP TO $2,000,000 USD for information leading to the capture of Juan Carlos MESA-Vallejo.
