RAMON EDUARDO ARELLANO-FELIX was charged in a sealed indictment in the U.S. District Court, Southern District of California, with Conspiracy to import cocaine and marijuana. He was believed to be one of the most violent leaders of the Arellano-Felix Organization (AFO), which is also known as the Tijuana Cartel. The AFO is a drug organization known for their large distributions of controlled substances and propensity for violence in enforcement of the operation. Ramon Eduardo Arellano-Felix was killed in a Mazatlan shootout with police in February 2002.
