The Aureliano Guzman-Loera DTO can be classified as a poly-drug organization responsible for growing, cultivating, producing, manufacturing, and transporting poppy, marijuana, heroin, fentanyl, methamphetamine, and cocaine on behalf of the Sinaloa Cartel.
The Aureliano Guzman-Loera DTO’s main source of income is derived from the significant cultivation of marijuana and poppy fields in the Sierra Madre Mountain Range of Sinaloa, Mexico. While the Aureliano Guzman-Loera DTO is based out of La Tuna, Badiraguato, Sinaloa, Mexico, the organization operates drug grow operations and drug production facilities throughout various locations within what is referred to as Mexico’s “Golden Triangle” which is known for Sinaloa Cartel sanctioned, large-scale commercial drug cultivation operations.
On November 13, 2019, a federal grand jury in the District of Arizona returned a Superseding Indictment against Aureliano Guzmán-Loera, charging him with four counts related to an international conspiracy to distribute heroin, cocaine, and fentanyl, in violation of federal law.
