On behalf of the people and Government of the United States, I extend my sincere congratulations to all Norwegians on the 205th anniversary of Constitution Day.

The great partnership between the United States and Norway continues to grow and deepen.  The United States was honored to participate in the outstanding Trident Juncture NATO exercise proudly hosted by Norway in the fall.  This year marks the 100th anniversary of the Norway-America Association, which, for an entire century, has supported and encouraged educational exchanges and mutual understanding between our two nations.

We thank Norway for being a steadfast partner in promoting our shared values.  Your commitment to addressing global challenges in regions like the Arctic and promoting peace around the world are invaluable.

My best wishes on this Constitution Day to all Norwegians, and to the millions of Americans who trace their ancestry to Norway.
