The Department of State’s Overseas Buildings Operations (OBO) and the Bureau of Administration, Office of the Procurement Executive (A/OPE) discussed the FY 2023 program with potential bidders and introduced the FY 2024 program in advance of an in-person event later in 2023. OBO and OPE experts discussed construction risks and cost/schedule drivers that impact the program, including topics such as supply chain factors, labor shortages, and inflation. A questions and answers session followed the presentation. This event was an opportunity for companies to learn about OBO and OPE, construction projects at the Department of State, and possible teaming and subcontracting opportunities for the small business community.
