Foreign Missions Street Festival

The Foreign Missions Center came alive on October 24, 2017 as the Office of Foreign Missions celebrated the second Foreign Missions Street Festival. This event has come to service a number of goals for OFM, including:

  • improving our outreach and dialog with the members of the foreign mission community; and
  • enhancing our ability to creatively promote and extend information concerning OFM and Department of State initiatives to the foreign mission community.

The District of Columbia’s Department of Small and Local Business Development’s “Made in DC” program was an important feature of the 2017 festival. Vendors in this program were invited to showcase their services and products to the foreign mission community. This also provided the foreign mission community with a unique and focused opportunity to learn more about this diverse group of entrepreneurs.
