Foreign Missions Street Festival
On October 19, 2016 the Office of Foreign Missions hosted the Foreign Missions Street Festival on the site of the new Foreign Missions Center. Over 200 guests representing 42 embassies and international organizations participated in the event . Representatives of the Foreign Missions enjoyed a lively afternoon filled with music, games, food and good company.
The U.S.Army Strings, a premier ensemble of the U.S. Armed Forces, provided a musical backdrop for the Foreign Mission Street Festival. Representatives from the local bonded warehouse vendors were present to conduct a customer appreciation event.
In the event’s Partner Expo, attendees were able to meet representatives from OFM's partners:

- Sustainable DC
- Cultural Tourism DC
- National Park Service
- Restore Mass Ave, and
- Greening Diplomacy Initiative
