Women, Peace, and Security
The U.S. Strategy on Women, Peace, and Security (WPS) focuses on improving the effectiveness of our foreign policy and assistance efforts by proactively integrating the needs and perspectives of women to meaningfully participate in decision-making structures on international peace, security, and prosperity.

Cross-Cutting Issues
S/GWI’s work on Women’s Economic Empowerment and Women, Peace and Security covers is not single-faceted. There are several cross-cutting issues that S/GWI targets through its work in other areas including Combating Violent Extremism, Violence against Women, and Women’s Leadership.
