The U.S. Department of State is hosting a culminating event in Washington, D.C. for its Spring Professional Fellows Program, aiming to strengthen collaboration between the United States and countries worldwide to promote democratic principles and community engagement. The Professional Fellows Congress takes place June 6-8 and brings together over 170 business and community leaders from 49 countries. It offers participants a platform to build a global network of emerging leaders in multiple sectors, highlight fellowship achievements, and brainstorm ideas for launching projects in their respective communities based on their experiences in the United States.

Over the past five weeks, the Professional Fellows, including emerging leaders from countries such as Egypt, El Salvador, Mongolia, Sri Lanka, and Tunisia, participated in intensive fellowships with companies and social enterprises in Washington, D.C. and 26 states including Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Hawaii, Illinois, Iowa, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Texas, Utah, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, and Wisconsin. These fellowships aimed to expand their networks and advance their leadership skills. The 2023 Professional Fellows will join more than 5,000 Professional Fellows Program alumni who have completed the program since 2010.

Every year, around 400 foreign and American participants take part in the Professional Fellows Program.  Follow the Fellows’ experiences in the United States on social media at #ProFellows. For inquiries, contact
