Emerging Young Leaders Award

The Emerging Young Leaders Award was created to recognize the positive role that young global leaders are playing to combat extremism, empower voice, and build sustainable peace in their communities and countries around the world. The inaugural group of ten awardees visited the United States in April 2016 for an intensive three-week program designed to recognize and support their efforts back home. In addition to being recognized in a public ceremony at the U.S. Department of State, they traveled to cities across the United States to participate in meetings and engagements with American officials and youth counterparts. We hope that this award will be an annual opportunity to recognize young leaders from around the globe.
