On behalf of the United States of America, I extend my congratulations to the people of Rwanda on the 61st anniversary of your independence on July 1 and the 29th anniversary of Liberation Day on July 4.  The United States and Rwanda cooperate in many areas to advance global health security, economic prosperity, food security, and environmental protection.  We look forward to working together in the coming year to improve regional security and stability and on the protection of human rights.  I extend to all Rwandans my best wishes for peace and prosperity in the year ahead.
