CANDIDATE: Carla Sands

Carla Sands has been the Chairman of Vintage Capital Group, L.L.C in Los Angeles since 2015; a company recognized by real estate industry as a professional, ethical and highly successful real estate firm. She is also a doctor of chiropractic and has been a television/film actress. Ms. Sands is a leader in the non-profit sector, working with organizations to improve the lives of children and the underprivileged. Demonstrating her commitment to improving education, she has served as a Board Member of Pepperdine University. Her entrepreneurial acumen, leadership and management expertise make her an excellent candidate to serve as the United States Ambassador to Denmark.

Previously, Dr. Sands volunteered to take on leadership roles in numerous public service organizations (2000-2015), such as the Board of the California Cultural and Historical Endowment (appointed by Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger), the Board of Visitors of the UCLA School of Arts and Architecture and the Board of the Los Angeles Philharmonic Association. She has chaired and co-chaired events and galas to benefit the Los Angeles Philharmonic, the Kennedy Center, Los Angeles Police Foundation and many other philanthropic organizations. Ms. Sands was self-employed as a doctor of chiropractic (1991-2000), acted in television and film (1980-1990) and engaged in clinical chiropractic practice (1984-1986).

Ms. Sands attended Indiana University of Pennsylvania and Elizabethtown College. She was awarded a Doctor of Chiropractic degree by Life Chiropractic College, Marietta, Georgia. She was a Los Angeles Music Center Honoree, Los Angeles Alive! in 2010.
