Secretary of State Antony J. Blinken will deliver keynote remarks on Tuesday, May 3, 2022 at 1:35 p.m., at the 52nd Annual Washington Conference on the Americas Luncheon, co-hosted by the U.S. Department of State Bureau of Western Hemisphere Affairs and the Council of the Americas.  Titled “Building a Sustainable, Resilient, and Equitable Future,” this year’s conference will highlight the Administration’s policy priorities in the Western Hemisphere and deep, longstanding U.S. partnerships with countries in the region as we look toward the Ninth Summit of the Americas the United States will host in Los Angeles June 6-10.

At the luncheon on May 3, the Council of the Americas will honor Secretary General of the Organization of American States Luis Almagro with the Chairman’s Award for Leadership in the Americas. The luncheon will also feature remarks by U.S. Senator Bill Hagerty (R-TN).

The luncheon will be followed by a virtual Conference program on May 12, 2022.  More information on the program can be found here .
