Secretary of State Michael R. Pompeo met today with Danish Foreign Minister Jeppe Kofod, in Washington, D.C., to reaffirm strong ties between the United States and Denmark.  Secretary Pompeo and Foreign Minister Kofod discussed global security and contributions to shared global priorities.  They also discussed the importance of enhancing cooperation on Arctic security.  The Secretary and Foreign Minister explained ways to further enhance U.S. cooperation with the Kingdom of Denmark, including the United States opening a consulate in Greenland.
