Secretary of State Michael R. Pompeo spoke today with Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan of the United Arab Emirates.  Secretary Pompeo discussed President Trump’s recent decision to take decisive defensive action in response to imminent threats to American lives. The Secretary thanked the Minister for his partnership and for recognizing the threats posed by Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Al Quds Force and by the Iranian regime in general. Secretary Pompeo made clear that the United States does not seek war and remains committed to de-escalation.
