Secretary Michael R. Pompeo met today in Brussels with European Parliament President David Sassoli.  They discussed ways the United States could work with the European Parliament to strengthen the Transatlantic economic and security relationship to the benefit of citizens on both sides of the Atlantic.  The Secretary and President Sassoli also discussed how they can further support Venezuela’s National Assembly in promoting a democratic transition.  The Secretary emphasized the need to hold China accountable for its egregious human rights abuses in Xinjiang.
