Special Advisor on International Disability Rights Sara Minkara will travel to Jakarta and Makassar, Indonesia, from October 4 through 11 to participate in the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) High-Level Forum on Disability-Inclusive Development and Partnership beyond 2025, and the first ever ASEAN-U.S. High-Level Dialogue on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities. During the trip, she will also meet with government officials, regional and municipal authorities, local non-governmental organizations, disability activists, business and religious leaders, and other stakeholders to promote the full social and economic empowerment and inclusion of persons with disabilities.
