Special Presidential Envoy for Climate Kerry to Meet with PRC Special Envoy for Climate Change Xie

Special Presidential Envoy for Climate John Kerry will travel to Sunnylands in Rancho Mirage, California, from November 4 – 7, where he will meet with PRC Special Envoy for Climate Change Xie Zhenhua to continue discussions with the PRC to address the climate crisis, including enhanced implementation and ambition and efforts to promote a successful COP28. The meeting builds on President Biden and President Xi’s meeting in Bali last year, at which the leaders agreed to work together to address the climate crisis, and as part of ongoing efforts to maintain open lines of communication and responsibly manage the U.S.-China relationship.
