Special Presidential Envoy for Climate John Kerry will travel to Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of the Congo, October 3-5 to participate in the Pre-COP, a preparatory meeting held a month before the 27th Conference of the Parties to the UNFCCC (COP27) to be hosted in Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt, November 6-18.
Secretary Kerry will also travel to Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, October 5, for the One Planet Sovereign Wealth Fund Summit. Secretary Kerry’s travel will be an opportunity to engage in discussions on climate cooperation ahead of COP27.
