TC Energy Corporation and TransCanada PipeLines Limited filed a claim against the United States in connection with the revocation of the March 19, 2019 Presidential permit for the Keystone XL Pipeline. The claimants allege that the United States has violated NAFTA Articles 1102 (National Treatment), 1103 (Most-Favored-Nation Treatment), 1105 (Minimum Standard of Treatment), and 1110 (Expropriation and Compensation). Claimants seek damages of more than U.S. $15 billion, plus interest.
