Foreign Policy, in partnership with Dataminr, convened a forward-looking conversation on diplomacy and international crisis mitigation in the digital age. Discussion focused on how the future of diplomatic engagement, crisis intervention and humanitarian action will be shaped by technological advances including AI and machine learning. The GEC’s Acting Coordinator spoke, among other things, on the GEC’s efforts to advance technologies and techniques to counter threats as well as anticipate propaganda and disinformation efforts that leverage advances in AI and machine learning.
