The American School Foundation (ASF) was founded in 1888. The school’s mission statement reads: “The American School Foundation, A.C. is an inclusive and diverse community, offering an international, academically rigorous, university-preparatory curriculum based upon the best of American independent education. In all aspects of life, we strive to be at our best: we love learning, live purposefully, and are empathetic, responsible, contributing citizens in an increasingly interconnected world.” ASF works to cultivate diversity and celebrate achievement, especially in the areas of academics, the arts, athletics, community service, and entrepreneurship. ASF offers an educational program from early childhood (age three) through grade 12 for qualified students of all nationalities. The school year is composed of two semesters extending from mid-August through mid-December and early January through mid-June.
