The American School of Kinshasa (TASOK), founded in 1961, is an independent, coeducational day school offering an educational program from preschool through grade 12 for students of all nationalities. The school year is comprised of two semesters running from mid-August through mid-June. TASOK has continued its long-standing tradition of providing a rigorous academic American High School program. To this end, the school graduated its first International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Program Candidates in May 2019. TASOK is a fully accredited IB World School, offering all three of the IB Programs: Primary Years Program (PYP), Middle Years Program (MYP), and Diploma Program (DP).
