The U.S. Bid to Host Expo 2027 in Minnesota

The U.S. has submitted a bid to host Expo 2027 in Minnesota, under the theme of “Healthy People, Healthy Planet.”

The U.S. bid is competing against bids from Barlioche, Argentina; Belgrade, Serbia; Malaga, Spain; and Phuket, Thailand.

This would be the first World’s Fair to take place in the United States in more than forty years. The last was Expo 1984 New Orleans. The United States has hosted more than a dozen World’s Fairs since Expo 1876 Philadelphia that commemorated the centennial of the United States.

Minnesota is the perfect choice to provide a sustainable, innovative global exposition. — President Joseph R. Biden, Jr.
