CANDIDATE: Carlos Trujillo

Carlos Trujillo, a prominent Florida attorney and politician, serves as the State Representative for the 105th District in the Florida House of Representatives, Tallahassee, Florida, a positon he has held since 2010. Concurrently, he has been Founding Partner, Trujillo, Vargas, Gonzalez and Hevia LLP, Coral Gables, Florida (2011 – present) and President, Carlos Trujillo, PA, Coral Gables, Florida (2007 – present). Known for his constituent advocacy, legal acumen and leadership, Mr. Trujillo is fluent in Spanish and has a thorough understanding of Latin American politics. His skills and knowledge make him well-qualified to serve as U.S. Ambassador to the Organization of American States.

Previously, Mr. Trujillo served as Assistant State Attorney, Miami Dade County State Attorney’s Office, Miami, Florida (2007 – 2011). He has been a member of three real estate holding companies in Coral Gables, Florida in recent years, highlighting his management capabilities. Demonstrating commitment to public service, he also served as a Board Member, Public Health Trust of Jackson Memorial Hospital, Miami, Florida (2015 – 2016).

Mr. Trujillo earned a B.S. in business administration from Spring Hill College, Mobile, Alabama and a J.D. from Florida State College of Law, Tallahassee, Florida. He was Florida Prosecuting Association Legislator of the Year in 2016 and Florida Sheriff’s Association Legislator of the Year, in 2015.
