The World Radiocommunication Conference (WRC) is a global, inter-governmental treaty conference held every four years by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), the United Nations-affiliated international organization for telecommunications. The most recent WRC convened October 28 to November 22, 2019 in Sharm el Sheikh, Egypt, with delegates representing more than 160 countries, including the United States. Together, these delegates revised and updated the world’s Radio Regulations, a treaty that governs the allocation and use of radio-frequency spectrum and satellite orbital locations.
